I practice integrated methods of evidence-based counseling therapies and holistic psychotherapy modalities which may include the following: person-centered, strengths-based, emotion-focused, mindfulness, solution-focused, logotherapy, combined with Reiki, Spiritual positivity, meditation, guided imagery, and/or yoga. Together we will find workable short and long-term solutions and perspectives for the challenging areas of your life. I provide a safe, comfortable, supportive, positive, and encouraging environment. During these challenging times, it’s good to know that you have someone in your corner helping you to overcome life’s obstacles. I believe in a client-centered approach to counseling, one where we work together in order to overcome these obstacles and create a path that allows my clients to lead successful and fulfilled lives. I believe that you get out what you put in and I encourage my clients to continually push themselves outside of their comfort zone in order to achieve the goals and outcomes they want.
I specialize in working with teens and adults who are struggling with Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Addiction, and Trauma. Together we will work on developing coping mechanisms and a wide variety of skills in order to help you deal with the stressors that are common occurrences during these times. I believe in a more holistic approach to therapy and work closely with my clients in order to help them develop healthy ways to destress, relax, and cope with the pressures of everyday life.
I currently hold a Master's in Social Work degree from Salisbury University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wilmington University. I am a Licensed Master's Social Worker currently studying to obtain my LCSW. I have been counseling for the last two years but also have experience in working with clients who have dealt with extreme trauma. I look forward to working with you and building a great relationship
out what you put in and I encourage my clients to continually push themselves outside of their comfort zone in order to achieve the goals and outcomes they want.
A friend of mine used to say that you cannot boil an ocean. But with patience and support, it may be done one cup at a time.
I am a seasoned, Licensed Master Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the field of social work and mental health. My approach as a master’s level clinician is warm, empathetic, collaborative, and supportive. With a focus on depression, anxiety, and other disorders, you will have the space to process and share so that we can uncover solutions, together.
Using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), strengths-based, person-centered, and other therapeutic principles tailored to your needs, you will feel safe talking about anything in a judgment-free and emotionally supportive environment. With a safe, warm and encouraging environment, you will find yourself on a road to personal growth, self-development, and a healthier, more fulfilled you.
We have an ocean to boil. Let’s begin one cup at a time.
I look forward to working with you.

My name is April Albury-Hamon and I’m a Licensed Master’s level clinician with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Social Work from Delaware State University, Dover DE. During my 10+ years of mental health-related experience serving children, youth, and adults, I have had the opportunity to support individuals in seeing their true potential.
My work with these individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem challenges, and even parenting difficulties, has afforded me the opportunity to serve individuals from diverse backgrounds. Often, you may think you’re alone when dealing with various feelings of anxiety and/or frustration, but you’re not. Counseling can help guide you through these challenging and sometimes confusing emotions. My continuous training and supervision have allowed me to gain a multitude of treatment modalities, strategies, and resources to provide you with the best evidence-based practices to battle the unexpectant stressors of life.
As a clinician, I particularly take pride in building healthy therapeutic relationships and making sure that you feel heard and seen. Life can be so chaotic and fast-paced, why not take some time to slow down and treat yourself to some self-care which could possibly lead to healing. You will learn new skills, and new ways of thinking that can add to your quality of life. Give yourself a chance. You deserve to and I would be pleased to be a part of your journey.

Welcome and thank you for considering me to walk with you on your journey for wellness, healing, and self-discovery. I am a National Certified Counselor currently working towards full licensure. I graduated from Wilmington University in 2021 with a master's in clinical mental health counseling. While working in the field of addiction, I have earned certificates in problem gambling and alcohol & drug counseling.
Through my education and work experiences, I have had the pleasure to meet individuals from all walks of life and learn from their experiences, strengths, and hopes. I believe that counseling is built on a foundation of mutual trust and respect and that building a safe space to explore strong emotions and discover innate strengths is paramount for growth. I look forward to growing a practice on the belief that our strengths can help us not just survive but thrive.

One day at a time!
Hello! my name is Monserrat Matos, I am a Licensed Master's Clinician and recent graduate from Delaware State University. I have been part of the Healing Pathways team for almost a year. My field-placement clinical experience involves completing mental health crisis assessments for youth and intake assessments in a psychiatric hospital. My background in the social work field serving victims of crime for over nine years has shown me time after time the severe impact trauma can have on an individual’s emotional, cognitive, and social aspects of life. As a result, my passion was born – to help individuals reach their maximum potential while experiencing inner peace, acceptance and happiness, despite the trauma that might’ve been inflicted upon them.
Additionally, I enjoy working with adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns or having difficulty dealing with unavoidable life stressors. I have always believed one of my greatest strengths is my genuine ability to empathize with others. My goal is to provide a safe, accepting and welcoming environment during sessions while practicing evidenced-based treatment modalities. It would be an honor to be part of
your healing journey. I am proud to be part of the Healing Pathway’s Clinician Team.
